The Best Part of Wakin' Up Is Norma's In Your Cup

By far this is the most phenomenal breakfast you will ever eat in your whole life.   Norma's is far from the usual eggs and toast. It takes breakfast to an entirely different level.  You have to enjoy food and eating to appreciate Norma's.  If you don't value food do not go here you will not find it to be an experience.

I ordered the savory... The Artychoked Benedict.  Words cannot explain the flavor.  It was so decedent and delicious that I couldn't even speak to my husband while eating.  The egg is a little piece of sunshine laying up ontop of an artichoke heart which sits on a bed of spinach and fingerling potatoes topped with a truffle porcini sauce...the flavor is so deep and ongoing from bite to bite.  I am sure the calories were not figure friendly but it was so worth it!

My husband ordered the sweeter side of the breakfast...Mango-Papaya Brown Butter Cinnamon Crêpes.  This dish was nothing short of a work of art.  The presentation was the most beautiful dish we have ever seen.  It is two perfect crepes side by side garnished with an Orchid.  The flavor is also nothing short of superb.  The crepes are thin and made to perfection.  The inside goodness is sweet and balanced. A little extra time on the treadmill is so worth it for these crepes.

Breakfast at Norma's is nothing short of perfect.  It must be experienced as often as you can afford it.   Breakfast is on the more expensive side but the splurge can be easily justified.

Go to Norma's and ENJOY!

Harry's Oyster Bar and Seafood

Not A Favorite...

This was my second time at Harry's. The first time was over the summer during the Wine and Food Festival and it was so delicious and fresh. The trio of oyster shooters were so, so, so fresh and delicious while the crab cake sliders and the lobster roll were equally as fresh and tasty.

My second time proved not so amazing. The lobster tail was over cooked, chewy and ice cold. The lump crab I chose on the side was a small salty portion of mushy crab and the vegetables were bland and tasteless. The oysters were gritty, sandy and very bitter for the type I choose. The other entrees looked alright, my husband was equally as disappointed in his crab cake sandwich selection.

Despite the food the atmosphere is very nice but probably not going back.

No frills here just fresh and delicious seafood!  Allen's is a great little joint tucked away in New Gretna.  The atmosphere is extremely casual...your place mat is the menu and the food is served on plastic section plates.  The crab cakes are by far the BEST...100 times better than the crab cakes in Maryland.  The sweet, fresh steamer clams come in a bucket and the mussels are never short of 2 dozen per order.  The potato salad is perfect and the cole slaw is creamy.  The broiled scallops are cooked to perfection and the dungeness crab legs never disappoint either. This is a local place, cash and bring your own.  The staff is always friendly and they are open all year long.   This is a must try if you are anywhere near the East Coast!
